Cumberland Center for Healthcare Innovation Taps Clinigence for Clinical Data Analytics Technology
Collaboration between ACO and technology provider will empower Cumberland Center to close gaps in patient care through access to real-time data
Atlanta, December 10, 2012—Clinigence, a next-generation clinical business intelligence technology provider, today announced that Cumberland Center for Healthcare Innovation (CCHI) will implement its clinical analytics software. CCHI will leverage Clinigence’s real-time analytics solution to pull clinical data from their multiple EHR systems in order to fully manage its population’s health, close gaps in care and measure their compliance with standards from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CCHI, a 29-practice Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in Cookeville, TN, will implement Clinigence’s solution across the enterprise to allow providers to have new dimensions of reporting and analytics options. This enhanced access to data will empower providers with the information necessary to motivate change within patients, which will ultimately help the organization improve quality and reduce costs for Medicare patients.
“CCHI is in the early stages of establishing our practices for automatically collecting and reporting on information about patient care, which will allow us to not only meet CMS Shared Savings requirements, but more importantly to provide our Medicare patients with high quality and value-based care with the support of real-time data analytics,” said Chet Gentry, MD, FAAFP, Chief Medical Officer of Cumberland Center for Healthcare Innovation. “Our collaboration with Clinigence is the first step to having the tools necessary to ensure the success of delivering fully coordinated patient care.”
The Clinigence solution is built around several key capabilities, including clinical data analytics, data mining, predictive modeling and business intelligence. Leveraging cloud-based semantic collaboration, the solution fuels a continuous cycle of improvement in staff performance and process effectiveness while accelerating the creation of best practices.
“CCHI is a true leader in the Accountable Care arena and they understand that access to real-time patient data that can be used to educate patients on their health and motivate change is a key driver to any successful ACO,” said Kobi Margolin, CEO of Clinigence. “Leveraging the timeliest clinical data will empower physicians to track their progress and measure their performance while further enhancing patient care. We are excited about this collaborative effort and look forward to CCHI’s continued achievements.”
